Providing services since 2004.
“We as a school have been using Fire Safety Services for nearly 10 Years. We find their staff to be very professional, from the employees in the office to the engineers who come into school. Nothing is too much trouble and their response to any issues are dealt with in the quickest possible manner. We find that their depth of knowledge throughout the company has helped us to meet all the current standards we have to adhere to. Without their professional help and advice we would not be in a position we are now to continue to meet the high standards of which our Governor’s expect. We use Fire Safety Services for a number of our statutory requirements of which include: Fire alarm service and maintenance, Fire extinguisher testing, PAT testing and also Fire hydrant servicing.
We find their prices are very competitive and would recommend them to any other school or business to cover all of their Fire Safety needs.”
Duncan Carlile – Premises Manager, Netherthorpe School
Netherthorpe School was founded in 1572 and educates pupils from 11-18 years old. Its primary motto is “Learn, Enjoy, Succeed”.
Fire Safety Services (UK) Ltd first started work in the school in 2004 when a Gent “32000” networked fire alarm system was upgraded to “Vigilon” system. We supplied and commissioned the new system, which was installed by Fred K Lamb Ltd, a Nottingham based electrical contractor.
The installation was carried out during the school summer holidays and was commissioned prior to the students returning for their new academic year.
Systems for Life Ltd & subsequently Fire Safety Services (UK) Ltd have serviced and maintained the system ever since.
Fire Protection plays a very important part in Schools in order to keep our children safe.
During a typical school day, the bell sounds frequently, children scurry to classroom, attend lessons, conduct science experiments, take breaks, dash to the school canteen and play outside.
But, what if, a fire breaks out in the kitchen or a bunsen burner has accidentally caught something alight in the science block. What would you do? In anyone of these events, you would expect the fire alarm to activate, the correct type of fire extinguisher to be on hand and be in fully working order and a fully rehearsed fire evacuation procedure to be in place.
Don’t allow your school to get caught out in the event of an emergency fire situation. For more information on fire safety advice for schools read our blog.
